Just wondering....

The other day the US Congress held a moment of silence in remembrance of Michael Jackson.

Did they hold one for Farrah Fawcett who passed away the same day?

Target

Confession time: Today was only the 4th time in my life that I had been in a Target Store. Times 1 and 2 were pre surgery and nothing was really appealing to me at the time. Time 3 was a month ago when I was in Illinois and I do admit that I was impressed. So, today when I was on the way to do some grocery shopping, I decided to stop in at Target. There are 3 of them within a 10-mile radius of my house.

I was impressed. It was clean, neat, organized, and very well stocked. It wasn't crowded and the people that were there seemed nice and polite. It wasn't noisy - I'm not even sure they had any MUSAK playing. AND, their prices were even cheaper than Walmart's prices. I was in Wally World yesterday and when I compared some of the prices today, I was shocked at some of the differences.

I just may have to readjust my way of thinking and frequent the local Targets more often. The one think I didn't check out was their yarn department - wonder if they have one and what it's like.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since you went to be with Mommy. I still miss you both.

But, I remember all the fun times: laughing at the supper table on Circular Avenue til butterscotch pudding came out of my nose; singing "My Heart Belongs to Daddy" on Father's Day at SMS; waiting on Christmas morning for you to turn the lights on on the Christmas tree; teasing you about the moths each time you opened your wallet; curling up in your lap when I was cold or scared; watching you laugh whenever Foster Brooks came to the microphone on the Dean Martin Roast - he didn't even have to say a word and you were laughing; learning all about baseball at the dinner table; and so much more.

I always knew I had the best dad in the entire world. Guess that's why I miss you so much.

Love,
Sher
